Bill, justification and issues screens: rebuilt from the live product on a sample bid. Figures are examples; the arithmetic is exact.

Select an Item, See Why It Costs That

The Selected Item sidebar has three tabs.

Justification

The remark, quantity workings with clickable links to the drawing source, the rate build-up, the basic prices used, the confidence and your own Note.

Issues

Threads on the item, filtered by register: technical, commercial, contract, clarifications, QA/QC and HSE.

Logs

Every change to this item, who made it and when.

Change One Price, Re-Price the Bill

Live Re-Pricing

Change a figure on the Basic Prices tab and every item that uses it re-prices at once. Save keeps it. The browser model mirrors the server calculation line for line, so what you see is what gets saved.

Three Sub-Tabs

Basic Prices for materials and labour, Allowances such as wastage and OH&P, and Measurements such as floor-to-floor height.

Locks Hold

A locked item keeps its rate when everything around it moves.

Server Does the Maths

Totals and checks are computed, not written by the AI.

Questions to ask next
Is the rebar price delivered or ex-mill?
Does the quantity include laps and wastage?
Is fluctuation for reinforcement allowed in the contract?
Is there a newer supplier quote than the one used?

Four Questions, the Ones a QS Would Ask

Select a row or a cell and the AI proposes four short follow-up questions. Click one to ask it in the chat.

  • Suggestions are cached, so revisiting a row is instant
  • Up to 120 AI calls per hour
  • Rule-based questions take over when the AI is unavailable
  • The example on the left is an illustration, not a real bid

Talk About the Number Next to the Number

Every BQ cell has its own thread: the whole item, description, unit, quantity, rate, amount, confidence and remark.

Threads per Cell

Reply, edit or delete your own messages, resolve and reopen. Messages appear for everyone within seconds. Up to 4,000 characters.

Files and Photos

Up to 10 files per message, 25 MB each, 120 uploads per person per hour. Camera photos show inline. Files are stored outside the web root.

AI Issues Are Threads

The AI reads your replies and closes an issue with its resolution. Knowledge Base links keep each reader's own rights.

Rights, Logs And Exports

Access Rights

Bid access follows the Knowledge Base folder the bid lives in. View opens the bid. Contribute saves changes. Open As opens it view-only, useful for checking what a colleague with fewer rights will see.

  • View opens
  • Contribute saves
  • Open As is view-only

Bid Details Questions

What is Bid Details?
An Excel and Word style editor that sits beside the AI chat. It holds the whole bid in eight tabs: Bill of Quantities, Documents, Overview, Programme, Resources, Basic Prices, Reports and RFQs.
Can the AI change an item I have locked?
No. Locked items never change, whether the edit comes from the AI Agent, a Refresh run or an /update-bid plan.
Who can open and edit a bid?
Access follows the Knowledge Base folder rights. View lets a person open the bid, Contribute lets them save, and Open As shows it view-only.
Can a reviewer comment without edit rights?
Yes. Anyone who can view the bid can post in a thread. Resolving a thread needs Contribute or Manage rights, or being a participant.
What is recorded in the log?
Every person save with each row whose figures moved and the new tender total, AI Agent edits, AI team runs, issue events, RFQs, Pricing Database saves, Excel exports, and an Opened entry once per person per 30 minutes. The log is append-only.
How many AI suggestions can I get?
Selecting a row or cell gives four short questions a QS would ask next. Suggestions are cached, limited to 120 AI calls per hour, and fall back to rule-based questions when needed.
